Traditionally, lists of patriarchs have been drawn in a spiral form. Such a spiral can be found on the Patriarchal Throne at Dayro d-Mor Hananyo (Deir az-Za`faran). As is not uncommon with historical accounts, sources for the chronological lists of the Patriarchs differ on dates.

The following list is taken from the Syrian Orthodox Church of Antioch's public information: Ishaaq Saaka, kaniisatii as-Suryaaniyya. (Damascus: 1985). It may be revised by them in the future as continued scholarship may unearth more information that has been covered over in the past by one community or another during the political struggles within the church.

117 Abdul Masih who was deposed in 1905.

(This was the Patriarch that left Mar Timotheus without support or direction. It appears he was not
interested in English and French speaking Western Rite congregations in America. During his time all
relations with Mar Timotheus were ended leaving the American church on its own.)

This was the period when Mar Timotheus served as Primate (though he appears to have continued to use the title of Metropolitan Archbishop for America.)

The Syrian Jacobite Patriarchy has continued to the present day. While OCCA has no formal relations with the Syrian Orthodox Church of Antioch, we accord them all manner of love, honor and affection as are due our Mother Church and our fellow Christians.
